Pokémon Black 2 follows the same kind of structure as other mainline Pokémon games, and is similar in some ways to the Yo-kai Watch series of games. All mainline Pokémon games come in pairs where storylines are virtually the same but certain Pokémon and features are only present in one of the two games. It’s part of the fifth generation of Pokémon games alongside Pokémon Black and White, as well as Pokémon White 2.
Pokemon Black Version 2 is a sequel to the original Pokémon Black, taking place in the same Unova region but offering a whole new story and gameplay experience to keep things fresh.
